Frenchy to Paint Jon Gruden’s Chalk Talk

Frenchy and Coach Gruden are together again! This week, Thursday, September 3, Chucky will be hosting “Chalk Talk,” a charity dinner where he does what he does best – talk football.  The coach will spend an evening discussing the upcoming 2015-16 football season. This exclusive engagement includes cocktails, dinner, lots of football talk and coach’s old pal Frenchy on hand to paint the evening’s festivities.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Connecticut Sports Foundation, a unique charity that provides financial support to people battling cancer and Adrienne’s Helping Hand, a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the physical and intellectual lives of children. Again, Frenchy’s live performance painting will be auctioned off to benefit these charities.

Frenchy Paints Live for CT Sports Foundation

Frenchy was asked by the Connecticut Sports Foundation to join this year’s celebrity dinner and memorabilia auction. Starting in 1988 this has become an annual event dedicated to raising funds to help cancer patients in the state of Connecticut. Frenchy created a live portrait of the New York Yankees Legends, which was later auctioned off for $11,000!  ALL of the proceeds were donated to the foundation.

This year’s celebrity participants included Steelers greats Merril Hodge and Lynn Swan, ESPN’ Steve Levy and Mike Golic, Bobby Valentine, Sean McDonough and many more.

In addition to painting, Frenchy had some time to mingle with sports greats and other celebrities:

Frenchy Paints Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves for 6th Straight Year

Frenchy captured the action on the canvas for the canvas. You see, he returned to his roots by creating a charity painting for the Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves for the sixth straight year. This is his roots, more than just a homecoming to Lowell, Massachusetts, because it is a return to his boxing pedigree. Frenchy’s father, Roger Frechette Sr. as well as his grandfather, Jean Paul Frechette – AKA the Blond Tiger – were renowned pugilists throughout the 1950’s. Frenchy’s dad went on to train Lowell legend, Micky Ward. (subject of The Fighterstarring Mark Wahlberg). Frenchy donates his time and talents to this hometown cause with 100% of the painting’s proceeds going to the charity.
