Frenchy was commissioned to cover the 2011 Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The ocean side festival featured a wide range of jam and alternative bands. Frenchy painted the Foo Fighters, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Widespread Panic and the Kentucky southern / alternative rock geniuses of My Morning Jacket. MMJ played as the sun set on the day’s activities. They were testing out new material from their forthcoming (at the time) album, Circuital. Frenchy captured band members Carl Broemel, Bo Koster, Tom Blankenship, Patrick Hallahan, and the venerable Jim James on canvas, conveying the power and glory of their live show. Truly a special treasure for any My Morning Jacket fan.
