Frenchy is at it again. This time, back in his home town of New Orleans for the Black & Gold Gala. New Orleans Saints’ head coach, Sean Peyton, has revived the Black & Gold Gala due to popular demand. This prestigious soiree was created as a fundraiser for Peyton’s Play It Forward Foundation, an organization dedicated to raise funds and awareness for organizations working with families and children in the areas of health, education, and social welfare in and around Louisiana.
Frenchy is a favorite on the fundraiser circuit as his unique style of creating a live painting on-the-spot becomes part of the entertainment itself. What he produces is a fine art keepsake like none other that not only commemorates the occasion, but helps support the non-profit fundraising goals by being donated and auctioned off to raise money for the cause. Great event, unique entertainment, one-of-a-kind piece of art, and one heck of an auction item!
This year’s Black & Gold Gala, sponsored by Chevron, will be held on Friday, October 2 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome from 5:30 to midnight. Entertainment includes music from hometown heroes, Better Than Ezra and Hootie lead singer gone country sensation, Darrus Rucker.
Frenchy will be painting the action and donating the final product for auction.
This year’s beneficiaries of the Black & Gold Gala include:
Team Gleason – an organization devoted to helping those battling ALS disease offset the ever-increasing cost of care and treatment (SEE: Frenchy to paint at Gleason Gras)
Feed the Children – an organization that exists to end childhood hunger
K9s for Warriors – a group dedicated to providing service canines to our warriors suffering from Post-traumatic Stress Disability, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma as a result of military service post 9/11.
