Frenchy originals to be featured in Harrah’s Hotel renovated guest rooms
Harrah’s New Orleans is in the process of renovating 500 guest rooms in the hotel, and commissioned Frenchy to accentuate the redesign. Six new and original effervescent Frenchy pieces will be featured throughout the rooms, symbolizing the prolific vibe of the New Orleans streets in classic Frenchy style.
This isn’t Frenchy’s first time working with Harrah’s – he teamed up with them in 2013 to lend his creative vision to the design of their HooDoo Lounge, where he produced the main interior artwork, including walls, table tops and blackjack tables, throughout the casino.
The grand opening of the new and improved Harrah’s is on October 21, and Frenchy will be there chronicling the event in his renowned way. The six pieces, shown below, signify the spirit of New Orleans, from the cast iron fence surrounding Jackson Square where artists line up daily to create and sell art, to the NOLA musicians that are the heart of New Orleans. Each will be on sale in giclée and serigraph formats in the coming months.
