RENOWNED ARTIST ‘FRENCHY’ TO IMMORTALIZE NEW YORK GIANTS & MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL LEGEND FRANK GIFFORD ON CANVAS AT JON GRUDEN EVENT
NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans-based artist Frenchy – internationally known in fine art circles and beyond for his sports and music paintings – will pay homage to the late New York Giants and Monday Night Football Legend Frank Gifford on September 3 at Jon Gruden’s Chalk Talk event at Pier A in New York City. Gruden, who followed Gifford’s footsteps into the Monday Night Football broadcast booth after a wildly successful coaching career in the NFL, will provide exclusive analysis of the upcoming NFL season as part of a fundraiser for the Connecticut Sports Foundation.
Known for vividly capturing events on canvas in real time with style and flair, Frenchy is a frequent guest on ESPN and Monday Night Football. Frenchy burst onto the NFL scene in 2002 when he became the official artist of the New Orleans Saints, capturing Louisiana Superdome action in real-time from the Saints sideline. He has painted live for Monday Night Football on multiple occasions, documenting high-profile games throughout the past several seasons on ESPN. This will be Frenchy’s first New York painting performance since serving as the official artist of the 2015 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival – an honor bestowed on only the most renowned artists from the crescent city.
“New York is like a second home to me and the Monday Night Football crew is like a second family,” Frenchy said. “I am moved by the opportunity to pay tribute to a fallen member of the MNF Family in Frank Gifford and hope my artwork can help Coach Gruden and the Connecticut Sports Foundation in their fight against cancer.”

About Frenchy
New Orleans visual artist Randy Leo Frechette, better known as Frenchy, vividly captures live events in real-time on canvas with style and flair. A regular at live music events such as the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival – where he was the official artist in 2015 – and Farm Aid, Frenchy captivates audiences with brush strokes inspired by rhythms and melodies. At live sporting events, Frenchy feeds off crowd energy and on-field action to produce world class paintings that are popular with art collectors and sports fans alike. When not on the road producing one-of-a-kind masterpieces, Frenchy can be found painting with his beautiful family at his Oak Street Gallery in Uptown New Orleans.
