The Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10k road race has been held in New Orleans each year on the Saturday before Easter since 1979. The Classic is locally produced by the not-for-profit Crescent City Fitness Foundation and has become an entertainment event in which both runners and walkers stay in shape. The Classic, which has become a Louisiana tradition, is physically challenging with its 10-kilometer course (6.2 miles) through some of New Orleans most historic neighborhoods. Beginning at the Mercedes Benz Superdome, the course winds its way through the French Quarter and Esplanade Avenue to its conclusion in New Orleans celebrated City Park.
This year Frenchy was commissioned to depict a historical run through four decades of the Crescent City Classic since is the 40th Anniversary of the race. Frenchy was truly honored to have the opportunity to work with the Crescent City Classic team.
