Friday 4/22/16

Frenchy kicked off Jazz Fest with a live painting of Big Chief Donald Harrison Jr over at the Congo Square Stage at the Jazz Fest Fairgrounds. Closing out the first day was Steely Dan. Frenchy was there too, capturing a live painting of the jazz rock legends.

Once day 1 of Jazz Fest concluded, Frenchy headed over to the newly renovated Orpheum Theater to create a performance painting of his all-time favorite band, The Original Meters.  This painting was a collaborative effort with long time friend and live painting colleague, Scramble Campbell.

On Sunday, Frenchy had a blast painting from the Acura Stage with his good friends the New Orleans Suspects. Red Hot Chili Peppers closed out the final day of the 1st weekend. Another one of Frenchy’s all-time favorites, the Chili Peppers, did not disappoint and Frenchy channeled all of their funk rock energy into a brand new painting.

Friday 4/29/16

Finally a break to relax and take all of it in!

Saturday 5/30/16

Even though the rain was in the forecast and on its way, Frenchy still set up and started sketching out his annual Jazz fest Scene painting. He couldn’t complete the painting due to weather, however he was able to get a great perspective of the Acura Stage and will be completing the painting over the coming week in his Oak Street Studio.

Another year, another amazing New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Great music, good friends, amazing fun, and the vibrant works of Frenchy.
